Year 12 1.5 Mathematics

Preparation for June Assessments 2020

Revision topics for Year 12 FMAS for June Assessments

You will take 3 assessments, each 1 hour long. All of them are calculator papers.
  • Paper 1: Pure and Statistics (1 hour)
  • Paper 2: Pure and Mechanics (1 hour)
  • Paper 3: A2 Mixed (1 hour)
For Paper 1 and Paper 2:
You should revise all of the material in the ‘Year 1 and AS’ OCR A Level textbook by Hodder (which you have been lent), except for:
  • Proof p8-15 (1.2, 1.3 Chapter 1)
  • anything on Newton’s Third Law (p440/441 Chapter 20)
  • Pulleys p452-455 (20.4 Chapter 20)
  • Newton’s Second Law applied to Connected Objects p462-467 (20.6 Chapter 20)
For Paper 3:
You should revise the following chapters in the ‘Year 2 and A2’ OCR A Level textbook by Hodder:
  • Proof Chapter 1 (You should also revise the materials in section 1.3 in your Year 1 book)
  • Functions Chapter 4
  • Trigonometry Chapter 2 (2.1) Chapter 6 and Chapter 8
  • Binomial formula Chapter 7 (7.1 only)
  • Differentiation Chapter 5 and Chapter 9 (9.1 and 9.2 only)
  • Projectiles Chapter 21
